The 2016 Iowa State Dance Marathon was held in the Memorial Union Fri. Jan. 22nd, and Sat. Jan. 23rd. Due to overcrowding in previous years, the event was split into two 12-hour events, the first from 7 pm Friday-7 am Saturday, and the second from 11 am- 11 pm Saturday.

In addition to smaller events throughout the Memorial Union, morale dances were held at the top of every hour in the Great Hall, where everyone involved with Dance Marathon would participate in an organized group dance.
