A majority of the physicality and chirping continued over to Saturday night from Friday night, and so did the win for Central Oklahoma as the Bronchos took down Cyclone Hockey 4-1.

The start was once again promising for the Cyclones after Tony Uglem went directly from the bench to a breakaway opportunity against Broncho goaltender Alex Henry in which Uglem capitalized on off of an assist from Eero Helanto.

Then the chippiness escalated to a five minute major penalty on Jake Arroyo that resulted with him being kicked out of the game for game misconduct and is up for potential suspension from next Friday night’s game as well.

Michael Rivera capitalized for the Bronchos on the five minute power play by beating goaltender Derek Moser off of feeds from Josh Wyatt and Gaven Hohl.

The score was tied at one after the first period but with the penalty troubles, Cyclone Hockey was outshot 15 to seven in the opening period.

After an Alex Stephens penalty at the end of the first period, Brandon Formosa scored a power play goal off an assist from Novikov to give Central Oklahoma a 2-1 lead. That lead was increased to 3-1 on an unassisted Rylan Duley goal at 17:12 in the second.

The Cyclones dominated the puck for the majority of the second period but weren’t able to convert on 13 shots.

Michael Rivera added his second goal of the game for the Bronchos and increased the lead to 4-1.

That would end up being the final score for the game, leading to a Central Oklahoma sweep of Cyclone Hockey.

The Cyclones will look to bounce back next weekend in a two-game-series on the road against Robert Morris.
