ISU Theatre’s production of Caryl Churchill’s “Love and Information” will continue this weekend at Fisher Theater.

Presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., the show will take place at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 and 2 p.m. Dec. 13.

Tickets are $11 for students, $16 for seniors and $18 for adults. Tickets are available at the door and via Ticketmaster

Written in seven sections with numerous scenes, the 2-hour play features more than 100 characters and 57 total scenes.

According to director Amanda Petefish-Schrag in the playbill’s “Director’s Notes,” the playwright “provides neither character nor context for any of these scenes, raising a multitude of questions for the theater-maker: Who is speaking this dialogue? How many people are in the scene? Where and why is this conversation happening? And of course, what does all this information mean?”

“Yet this is the big idea that Churchill would have us ponder as artist and audience alike. What does it mean to navigate this technological age that drowns us with information and denies us clarity and context?” Petefish-Schrag continued.

Also in her notes, the director said Churchill’s play questions how our interactions with technology shape relationships, memories and even our perceptions of the world.
