Throughout the past weeks, downtown Ames has been working to share the holiday spirit as Christmas time draws near.

This weekend on Saturday, Dec. 12, from 10 a.m. to noon, there will be a Santa Train in downtown Ames.

Santa Claus will be visiting Ames at Family Martial Arts at 231 Main Street. Cy, ISU’s mascot, will also make an appearance to celebrate, thanks to sponsors Duck Worth Wearing and the Loft.

The Snow Magic Scavenger Hunt, which began on Dec. 5, will end on Saturday, Dec. 19. The Snow Magic hidden logo in all stores participating. 

Those who wish to participate can pick up the scavenger hunt card in any participating store or at the Ames Chamber Office.
