The ISU volleyball team finished its season Friday night by falling to Wisconsin in the second round of the NCAA Tournament — 25-18, 25-15, 25-21.

The first two sets were controlled by Wisconsin and the Badgers didn’t allow the Cyclones to get into the match. Wisconsin controlled the pace and went on some longer runs to make it a 25-18 first-set win and a 25-15 second-set win.

After halftime, Iowa State came out like an entirely different team. The Cyclones started the third set in the lead but couldn’t sustain it. Eventually, Wisconsin took a 20-19 lead and held it from there to complete the sweep with a final score of, 25-21.

Since the season is over for Iowa State, the Cyclones will get ready for spring ball in February. As for Wisconsin, it will continue in the Regionals in Texas to play No. 11 Florida.
