Netflix releases Adam Sandler’s The Ridiculous Six

Netflix and Adam Sandler have officially released their first movie together, entitled The Ridiculous Six.

The Ridiculous Six was just that: ridiculous.

It is by far one of the most outlandish films I have ever seen.

The jokes throughout the film were a mix of childish poop jokes and some funny puns and, well, ridiculous ploys.

All jokes aside, the film was technically poorly written. The plot is no Oscar winner. However, it is an easy and enjoyable plot from its pure insanity. It’s a perfect film to watch when no thinking is needed.

Much of the ridiculousness comes from the six main characters, long lost brothers that just run into each other. Somehow, Adam Sandler is related to Taylor Lautner- a hick, Jorge Garcia- a mute mongolian, Luke Wilson- the security for Abe Lincoln, Terry Crews of all people and, of course, Rob Schneider as a Mexican.

If we can look past several white actors and actresses playing Native American and Mexican characters, the characters were the best part of the film. Everyone was crazier than the next person.

Playing many of these characters were several of Adam Sandler’s current crew. Steve Buscemi appeared as a town doctor/barber, David Spade appeared as General Custer, Vanilla Ice appeared as Mark Twain, Nick Swardson appeared as an outlaw, John Turturro appeared as Abner Doubleday and Jon Lovits appeared as a wealthy man named Ezekiel Grant.

In some hilarious cameos, Danny Trejo appeared as the main antagonist, Whitney Cummings appeared as Jon Lovits’ sleazy wife, Sandler’s wife, Jackie, appeared as a horny Native American and, best of all, Blake Shelton appeared as Wyatt Earp.

The movie felt like Sandler and all his friends got together to write jokes and then got a large budget to make the movie appear to be decent.

It was not a good movie, but it was not a bad movie. It was certainly entertaining, and that is the purpose of any comedy, so it did its job.
