Upcoming Concerts

Fall Break is offically over and now the rest of the semester is ahead of us. The last few weeks of school are bound to be filled with tests, quizzes, group projects and for some of us graduations. These last few weeks can get pretty stressful, and a great way to deal with a lot of stress is with music. Here is a list of shows that are going to be coming to Ames and surrounding areas.
The Gibson Brothers
The Gibson Brothers will be playing at the M-Shop here in Ames this upcoming Thursday at 8:00 p.m. The Gibson Brothers are a bluegrass band who were named the Entertainers of the Year by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2012 and 2013. Tickets for the show are $10 for students and $15 for the general public.
Justin Adams
Justin Adams will be playing at Wooly’s in Des Moines this Friday. Justin is a country artist. Justin Adams is from Oklahoma but he played football for the University of Northern Iowa. Tickets for his show are between $10-12.
Riff Raff
Riff Raff will be performing at the 7 Flags Event Center on December 12th in Clive. Riff Raff is Houston rapper who is signed with Diplo’s Mad Decent record label. Riff Raff had an album come out, Neon Icon, in 2014. He had a short stint on the MTV show G’s to Gent’s in the shows second season.
Mannheim Steamroller
Mannhiem Streamroller tour will stop in Ames at the Stephens Auditorium on December 15th. The tour and album will celebrate it’s 31st anniversary this year. The show will be directed by Grammy Award winner Chip Davis. The ticket prices run between $46-77.
