The 43rd annual American Music Awards will air LIVE Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8/7 C.S.T. on ABC and will be hosted by Jennifer Lopez.

Unlike some award shows, the winner is chosen by the viewers. The AMAs are the world’s biggest fan-voted awards show.

Fans get the opportunity to visit the American Music Awards website to cast their vote for their favorite artists of the year. Each nominee is selected by how they have done in the music industry during the past year. On this night, the artists’ outstanding achievements are recognized.

According to the AMAs website the following artists will be performing this year. 5 Seconds of Summer, Coldplay, Luke Bryan featuring Karen Fairchild, Selena Gomez, Nick Jonas, Jennifer Lopez, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction, Pentatonix, Gwen Stefani, Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth, Carrie Underwood, WALK THE MOON and The Weeknd.
