November 12, 2015
ISU wrestling beat Boise State in convincing fashion, 34-3, Thursday evening at Hilton Coliseum.
Kyle Larson at 125 pounds was the lone loss for the Cyclones. His dual went down to the wire but he lost 5-4.
Dante Rodriguez won his dual in dominating fanshion with a pin against Jake Velarde. The pin occurred in the first period right out of the gate, 28 seconds into the match. This was Rodriguez’s first match of the season after getting his redshirt taken off earlier this week.
Gabe Moreno also made his season debut after recovering from offseason shoulder surgery and a one-match suspension. He handled his guy easily and won 13-3.
At 133 pounds, Earl Hall also beat his man handily, 13-0.
Logan Breitenbach had the most eventful match of the evening. Time was dwindling, and it was tied 4-4. Breitenbach got the last-second takedown to win 6-4. It was reviewed and the call was confirmed.
