Cyclone Hockey bounces back against Robert Morris
November 7, 2015
Cyclone Hockey was able to bounce back from Friday night’s nine-round shootout loss to Robert Morris on Saturday night with a 2-1 victory.
The teams went scoreless through the first period and nearly all of the second period until defenseman Kody Reuter slapped the puck into the top-left corner off an assist from fellow defenseman Nick Sandy. The goal gave the Cyclones a lead at the 18:09 mark.
Just 1:07 later, however, the Eagles matched the Cyclones’ goal and evened the game at one courtesy of Tim Prinz.
The game was another close one like they often have been between Cyclone Hockey and Robert Morris, but unlike Friday night, the Cyclones came out victorious 2-1. Aaron Azevedo netted the game winner off assists from Colton Kramer and Reuter.
Goaltender Matt Goedeke once again came out with a strong performance stopping 19 of 20 shots he faced compared the 38/40 performance from his counterpart, Justin Ball.
Cyclone Hockey hits the road for the rest of November, starting with a double header against Illinois on Friday and Saturday night.
