Letter: Can 24 hours Change the World?
November 10, 2015
As a student at Iowa State I have had the opportunity to study environmental science. Many theories about environmental crisis have been made in the past few decades but only now are these arising. The most common theories involve decreasing consumption and increasing compassion.
This semester I have been working with students at Iowa State University and the Climate Reality Project to raise awareness about the need for the environmental change.
This Friday, Nov. 13, there will be a student and faculty panel discussing climate and climate changes. This is part of the 24 hours of climate reality that over 60 million people will be tuning in from all over the nation to participate in raising awareness for environmental change. Hopefully these 24 hours will make enough of a difference to motivate people to make a change.
