Republican presidential candidate John Kasich will be in Ames on Monday for a town hall meeting at Iowa State.

The event will allow students, faculty and Ames residents to question Kasich on any issue they are concerned about leading up to the Iowa Caucus in February.

Kasich has served as governor of Ohio since 2011, and served for almost two decades in the U.S. House from 1983 to 2001. He chaired the House Budget Committee from 1995 until he left Congress.

The event is part of the Presidential Caucus Series from the Iowa State Lectures Program. Kasich’s event is also sponsored by the ISU College Republicans and Student Government.
