The Big 12 did not deal a favorable hand to whomever becomes the next head coach of the ISU football team.

The Cyclones play the top three teams in the Big 12 to open up their conference season. First, Iowa State travels to TCU, then the Cyclones travel home to take on San Jose State and Baylor. Iowa State will finish up its tough four-game stretch with trip to Sillwater, Okla., to take on Oklahoma State.

Unlike this season, the Cyclones will close our their season with back-to-back home games against Texas Tech and West Virginia.

Iowa State will open its season against Northern Iowa on Sept. 3. The annual CyHawk game shifts to Iowa City as the Cyclones take on the Hawkeyes on Sept. 10.
