The ISU Police Department identified Dane Schussler as the student whose body was  discovered by railroad officials on Union Pacific Railroad property between Brookside Park and Haber Road Monday night. 

Schussler was a senior in genetics and a member of the Genetics Club on campus. Police said no foul play is suspected based on a preliminary investigation.

Calli Hite, a spokesperson for Union Pacific, said an engineer and a conductor were operating the train around 9:30 and when they saw an individual on or near the train tracks and called in to the Union Pacific response and dispatching department, which alerted local police. 

The state medical examiner said information on the autopsy will be released Thursday.
