Iowa State swimmers continue to improve

Iowa State stays in fourth place with 381 points during day two of the Big Challenge.
In the 200 yard medley Guy Shilon, Kasey Roberts, Kaylee Kucera, and Alex Flatness came in sixth place with 1:44.03, while Harper Emswiler, Danica Delaquis, Savanna Townsend,Maddie Rastali came in ninth with 1:44.96.
In the 400 yard IM four Cyclones made the top 15 finishers. Kasey Roberts was the top ISU swimmer was Kasey Roberts came in fifth with 4:22.21.
Mary Kate Luddy swam to a solid 12th place in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 55.84.
Silqi Luo and Karyl Clarete finished fifth and eighth, respectively in the 200 yard freestyle with times of 1:50.27 and 1:50.98.
Kasey Roberts came in fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time 1:03.09.
Marissa Engle, Harper Emswiler, and Kaylee Kucera finished 10th, 12th, 13th respectively in the 100 yard backstroke with times of 56.35, 57.20, 57.21.
In the last event of the 800 yard freestyle, the Iowa State women placed in eighth. Ashton Ehrecke, Evan Hundley, Mollie McNeal and Haley Ruegemer clocked a time of 7:44.30.
The women will swim again at 10 am to finish out the final day of the Big Challenge on November 22nd.
