The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Student Services will host a memorial and discussion in regard to the national Transgender Day of Remembrance from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.

The discussion will center around building an area for those with various gender identities and expressions. 

At least 21 people who were transgender have been murdered in the United States in 2015, according to the Human Rights Campaign website. The 2015 count is higher than any other year.
