Five bands formed through Gathering Everyone Nearby to Raucously Entertain, will perform a free, all-ages show at 8 p.m. Saturday at Zeke’s.

GENRE Music is a student-run music club at Iowa State that groups together student musicians of all backgrounds into bands.

GENRE features bands of various genres of music, while students are paired together by playing ability and musical preferences.

GENRE was formed in 2011 and tries to provide a community for musicians. There, they can interact with other musicians and are provided a medium for performance.

Alternative rock bands Kickstart The Sun and Ice Avenu, metal bands Photo Mother Murder Tree and MindFire, and the Spookeleles will perform at Zeke’s.

The GENRE music executive board for this show formed the Spookeleles. It will perform Halloween-themed songs using ukuleles.
