Types of walkers you see on campus
October 19, 2015
With 36,001 students you’re bound to run into some students who are not the fastest walkers, or you might encounter some who move so fast you would think they are The Flash. Either way let’s look at some of the different types of walkers on campus.
The Tourist Walker
This type of walker isn’t necessarily slow but they aren’t fast either. They sort of just glide through campus and look at the trees and all the pretty stuff Iowa State has to offer. Iowa State is a beautiful campus with a lot of aesthetically pleasing scenery, but it’s also full of busy college students who have to go from one side of the campus to the other.
The Group Walk
You have definitely noticed these walkers before. They walk in packs and no one can get around them. You can speed up or go to the side but it’s all pointless with the group of 3 or 4 in front of you.
The Slow Walker
Now, you might think that the slow walker is just the tourist walker in disquise but they are completely different. The slow walker usually has their head buried in there phone and have no idea anybody else on campus exists besides them. So naturally they move about as fast as a sloth crossing the street.
The Fast Walker
You’ve definitely seen this walker on campus. It’s always a mystery as to why they are bobbing and weaving through the thousands of other students. You want to root for them to get to class on time but you are too busy getting bumped by their backpacks to even think that far ahead.
