9th annual 80/35 Des Moines music festival to return July 2016

The 9th annual 80/35 music festival returns July 8 and 9, 2016, at Western Gateway Park in downtown Des Moines.
Tickets for the 80/35 music festival go on sale in March 2016. The festival begins at 5 p.m. July 8 and at noon July 9, running until midnight each day.
According to a recent press release, 80/35 will be presented by U.S. Cellular and organized by the Des Moines Music Coalition (DMMC), “a nonprofit movement committed to building a stronger and more diverse live music economy.”
The popular indie and jam music festival features 50 bands from the national, regional and local levels, offering free shows and paid concert areas.
The event draws roughly 30,000 attendees annually and has featured acts like Weezer, Death Cab for Cutie, The Roots and Grace Potter.
