Letter: Educators must effectively communicate
October 5, 2015
Dear Editor,
My concern revolves around professors and teaching assistants. It has come to my attention that some educators are not effectively helping students understand the content.
For example, students have had trouble learning from professors and teaching assistants with strong accents, a lack of passion and/or an inability to meaningfully communicate the lesson.
As college students, we are investing in our education. Are we paying thousands of dollars to earn a piece of paper or to educate ourselves in order to contribute in a larger conversation? I do not have a proposal, however, I am interested in bringing attention to this issue.
Thank you,
Gabi Mitchell
