Throughout the season, ISU men’s golf coach Andrew Tank has stressed a desire to see his team improve on the par-5 holes. Par-5s typically provide golfers the best chances at making birdie but through three events, Iowa State has only mustered a 5.08 scoring average on such holes.

After a finishing in 10th and seventh place in the field at its first two events, Iowa State’s struggles continued with a 12th of 14th place showing in par-5 scoring en route to a tie for seventh overall.

Below is a breakdown of each Iowa State’s starters performance on the par-5s at the University Club this weekend:

T40th out of 75 golfers: Jack Carter and Ruben Sondjaja, 5.08

T46th: Nick Voke, 5.17

T56th: Collin Foster and Conner Koberg, 5.25
