ISU soccer drops another Big 12 game

The ISU women’s soccer team fell to another Big 12 opponent on Sunday afternoon when they took on the Kansas Jayhawks in their second home game this weekend, losing 4-0. 

Kansas drew first blood in the 28th minute when Parker Roberts scored from 10 yards out from the left of the goal.

The Jayhawks increased their lead in the 31st minute when Jackie Georgoulis scored a header off of a corner kick.

In the 56th minute, Kansas added another goal to its lead, making the score 3-0 right out of halftime.

Kansas increased its lead to 4-0 in the 68th minute when Liana Salazar scored another goal for the Jayhawks.

Iowa State never found its rhythm on Sunday, getting shut out by another Big 12 opponent 4-0.  In fact, they have yet to even score a goal against a Big 12 opponent this season. 

The Cyclones will continue to search for their first Big 12 victory when they take on Texas on Friday, Oct. 9th in Austin, Tex.
