ISU soccer club gets new coach, keeps same goals

The ISU Men’s Soccer Club is entering the Fall 2015 season with a new coach and a goal of reaching nationals again. Last season, the club qualified for the championship bracket but didn’t advance out of a tough pool.

“We need to represent ISU better than we did last year,” said Andrew Paleczny. “We are better than that, and we will show that this year.”

The new coach wants to aid in that pursuit with goals of his own.

“My goal is to create a competitive training environment with instructive direction [so] the players can become better players and a cohesive team unit,” said Chad Zmolek.

“Any message I hope to get through will be modeled by my own behavior in practice and games: Work hard, have fun, be a good human,” said Zmolek.
