Law enforcement’s duty is to protect and serve, and this weekend they’re serving for Special Olympics.

Ames and ISU Police Departments will be on top of the Ames Dunkin’ Donuts in order to raise money for Special Olympics. It’s all in an attempt to be part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run’s final leg, which is from Des Moines to Ames during the opening of the Special Olympics in the spring.

The event is taking place at 15 Dunkin’ Donuts locations throughout Iowa on Friday. Ames and ISU Police will take their post at the Ames Dunkin’ Donuts location from 6 to 11 a.m.
