June 2006: X-Men: The Last Stand. One man shot in the back of the head, gunman not found criminally responsible due to his mental illness.

December 2008: The Curious case of Benjamin Button. Man shot to death in front of his family by an Iraqi War veteran.

February 2010: Shutter Island. Man stabbed in the neck with a meat thermometer by a man who’s girlfriend was talking loudly on a cellphone.

July 2012: The Dark Knight Rises. 12 murdered and 70 injured in Aurora, Colorado. Gunman convicted of first degree murder this summer.
