Hazardous weather conditions predicted for Ames

The National Weather Service predicts hazardous weather conditions for Ames Tuesday evening.

According to the National Weather Service, central Iowa will be hit with thunderstorms ranging from strong to severe today leading into this evening. The storms may include an isolated tornado, large hail and damaging winds. Winds could reach a high of 21 mph tonight. New rainfall estimated to be a quarter to a half of an inch. Thunderstorms are predicted to end before midnight.
