Investigation results in Huxley man charged with sexual abuse
August 28, 2015
Iowa State Police on Friday charged a Huxley man with three counts of sexual abuse after an investigation related to an earlier August report of sexual assault at 4008 Maricopa Drive.
Police charged Ryan Scott Evans, 26, with counts of 3rd degree sexual abuse, according to a news release from ISU Police.
Police obtained a search warrant to collect evidence after an individual called 911 to report a sexual assault around 1 p.m. Aug. 11, according to the release. The investigation led to Evans’ arrest, said Iowa State Police Deputy Chief Aaron DeLashmutt.
DeLashmutt said Evans is not an Iowa State student, but the ISU Police Department investigated the case because the Maricopa apartment building is leased by Iowa State.
Evans was later transported to Story County Jail.
