How to rock a back-to-school style
August 2, 2015
Knowing your personal style will allow you to rock a back-to-school look before stepping foot on campus.
All students need a few basics before beginning their first courses, but they can always make the pieces their own with a few easy tweaks.
In college, having basic clothing items to mix and match will be best for smaller closets.
Pants in neutral colors, such as denim jeans or khakis, can be paired with multiple tops for men and women.
Sundresses that can be paired with sweaters in the fall, or skirts that can be paired with tank tops in the summer and sweaters and tights in the winter, are great pieces to add to a back-to-school style for women.
Neutral tops such as black and white T-shirts, tank tops and long-sleeve shirts are good for wearing alone in the warmer months. They also work well as extra layers when the weather gets cold. Dress up the neutral tops and bottoms with sweaters, jewelry and other accessories.
Men can add to their back-to-school style by pairing neutral pants with graphic tees.
Athletic clothing is another basic to have when school starts. From lounging to working out, athletic clothing can be worn for many different occasions. Make sure to also have athletic shoes that fit well and are comfortable.
Along with style basics, don’t be afraid to purchase statement items that add a little extra to the neutral pieces. From an eclectic handbag to a metal watch, both men and women can use accessories to their advantage.
Confidence is key when rocking back-to-school style.
