Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina will be in Ames next week for a town hall meeting at the Memorial Union.

The event, scheduled for Aug. 28 at 3 p.m. inside the Great Hall of the Memorial Union, will allow students, faculty and Ames residents to question Fiorina on any issue they are concerned about leading up to the Iowa Caucus in February.

Fiorina, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard, announced her presidential campaign in early May. Following the first Republican debate earlier this month, Fiorina saw a spike in poll numbers after her performance in the afternoon debate featuring lower-tier candidates.

The event is part of the Presidential Caucus Series from the Iowa State Lectures Program. Fiorina’s event is also sponsored by the ISU College Republicans and Student Government.
