Three former ISU players, along with former ISU coach Fred Hoiberg, are advancing to the quarterfinals of the Las Vegas NBA Summer League tournament after second-round play Thursday.

The first former Cyclone to move on to the quarterfinals was Bryce Dejean-Jones of the New Orleans Pelicans.

In a 97-81 win against the Washington Wizards, Dejean-Jones tallied only seven points, which was a drop off from his 26-point performance his previous game.

The Pelicans will play the Golden State Warriors at 7 p.m. Saturday.

DeAndre Kane was the next former Cyclone to move on to the quarterfinals. However, Kane did not see the floor in the Atlanta Hawks’ second round 82-73 win against the Denver Nuggets.

Kane and the Hawks will play the Dallas Mavericks in the third-round matchup at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The last three former Cyclones to move on were Hoiberg, the Chicago Bulls head coach, and Bulls players Diante Garrett and Tyrus McGee.

Hoiberg coached the Bulls to an 84-80 comeback win against the Toronto Raptors. In the win, Garrett recorded 11 points, one rebound and four assists while McGee tallied six points and three rebounds.

The Bulls will play the Phoenix Suns at 5 p.m. Saturday.
