Iowa State, Ames closings for July 3-4

Most university and city offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day weekend on Friday, July 3.

Iowa State officials said offices will be closed and classes will not meet on Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day weekend.

Theilen Student Health Center will be closed Friday through Sunday, but the McFarland Clinic will be open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and the after-hours clinic will be open from 5 to 9 p.m. The McFarland Clinic will also be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

Theilen spokeswoman Samantha Boyd advised students with medical emergencies to call 911 or go to Mary Greeley Medical Center.

On July 3, City Hall and most city departments will be closed in recognition of Independence Day. 

Cyride will adhere to its Saturday schedule on Friday, July 3, and will not run on the Fourth of July.

The Ames Public Library will be closed Saturday, July 4.

Furman Aquatic Center will close at 6 p.m. on the Fourth of July.
