Traveling from point A to point B on Iowa State’s campus requires a little effort and lot of creativity if you’re primary mode of transportation is a vehicle.
Nowadays, you have better luck spotting the albino squirrel than driving through campus without having to navigate a maze.
But the answer is simple. And it doesn’t include the operation of a vehicle.
Walking removes the worries of getting lost or taking a 10-minute detour to get from the UDCC to Lied Recreation Athletic Center.
Besides, the construction on campus gives you an excuse to take a 20-minute stroll through Iowa State’s beautiful Central Campus.

Less on cars on the road translates to a healthier environment.
Rain will occasionally cause hassle, but it doesn’t freeze over when it reaches pavement or turn to snow like it does in the winter. And there is an answer for when it does rains — an umbrella.
