The ISU Dairy Farm is celebrating Dairy Month by inviting the public to their annual open house event, Friday, June 5, at the ISU Dairy Farm located at 52470 260th St in Ames from 6 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Dairy Farm staff will provide tours of the dairy’s facilities, including demonstrations of the technology being used, animal care and practices, product quality and safety and information about the dairy’s environmental stewardship. The tours will be given from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Tours will be given every 30 minutes, tour stops include the milking parlor, the milk house and a trolley tour of the farm.

Visitors will have the opportunity to sample some of the various dairy products produced from milking cows, including milk, cheese, yogurt and ice cream at the dairy farm during the open house.
