Matt Mondanile, perhaps best known as a guitarist of Real Estate, also has a solo recording project by the name of Ducktails. It was recently announced that he is going to release the follow-up to 2013’s “The Flower Lane” during the summer with an album titled “St. Catherine.” The LP is slated to release July 4 through Domino Records. Julia Holter and fellow members of her band, Chris Votek and Andrew Thrall will be featured on “St. Catherine” as well as “Church and “Heaven’s Room.” The LP was recorded in Berlin, L.a., and New York during 2014 and was completed during the early part of this year. Mondanile recorded the record with Rob Schnapf, who also helped produce Elliot Smith’s albums “XO” and “Either/Or.“
