Naz Long “crazy ahead of schedule” after two hip surgeries

Naz Long said his recovery from hip surgery is “crazy ahead of schedule” at the Special Olympics Iowa summer games opening ceremonies.

ISU men’s basketball senior guard Naz Long is ahead of schedule for his hip surgery recovery, he said at the Special Olympic Opening Ceremonies on May 21.
“My doctors told me that I was crazy ahead of schedule for my recovery,” Long said.
Long had his second offseason hip surgery to repair a torn labrum in his right hip on May 7, while the first was for the same injury but in his left hip on April 1.
Long recently visited his doctors and was told he is ahead of schedule.
Long is expected to be out at least three months, but could be out an upward of five.
