Bernie Sanders to make campaign stop in Ames

Bernie Sanders, the independent Senator from Vermont challenging Hillary Clinton for the Democratic presidential nomination, will make a campaign stop in Ames later this month.

WHAT: Ames Grassroots for Bernie Celebration

WHEN: Saturday, May 30, at 2 p.m.

WHERE: Torrent Brewing Company, 504 Burnett Ave., Ames

WHY: 2016 campaign event

While in Iowa, Sanders will also visit Davenport on May 28, Muscatine and West Branch on May 29, and in addition to Ames on May 30, he will be in Iowa City and Kensett.
