Is rap star Nicki Minaj engaged to rapper Meek Mill? Well some source may have the true answer, but — as far as I’m aware — it’s a toss-up. Miss Minaj is rumored to have been dating Meek Mill since early February, so regardless if they’re engaged or not, it’s a decently new relationship … which is scary if they really are getting hitched.

Anyway, let’s start with the pro-engagement side. It might be too much to ignore that Nicki recently received a ridiculously large, heart-shaped, diamond-encrusted ring. The ring was seen Tuesday night on an Instagram post of the couple, Nicki sporting the E!News value-estimated $500,000 ring.

Minaj fueled rumors by Tweeting “*ring emoji* *heart emoji* *diamond emoji* – I’ll post it later *tongue emoji*.” And I’ll go ahead and apologize if that was hard to read. Regardless, it was very cryptic and exciting.

A few hours later, Minaj posted a close-up of the rock on her Instagram. It’s insanely big and shiny.

On the other hand, the big bling may not be as it appears.

Minaj’s new track, featuring Mill, is titled “Buy a Heart.” Sooooo the ring could only be a promotional prank, something Us Weekly says Minaj is known for.

Not to mention that mamma knows best, and Minaj’s mother said she and Mill are indeed not engaged.

Bossip online reports mama “Minaj”/Maraj said, “I talk to my daughter everyday, and she said she was not engaged.”

So is the ginormous, 15-carat yellow ring a promotional tool, an engagement tease or a full-blown commitment to marry? The world may never know.
