The name of this weekly segment is “Early Bird,” and with this week’s artist, “Pilton,” it’s about as early bird as it gets. Joe Pilton, known by his stage name as Pilton, is a 16-year-old music producer and progressive house DJ from the UK. For a young and unknown DJ, he has quite the handful of original tracks under his belt.

He’s starting to pick up steam on Soundcloud through EDM Nations, and his name has recently been brought to Iowa State by student Alex Mckinnon. His latest and possibly biggest hit, “Moments,” is getting him recognized and for good reason.

The track is just over three minutes, and features classic progressive vocals and lyrics, helping Pilton come off as a seasoned progressive house veteran. As you would expect, it doesn’t have heavy drops but it does exactly what it’s intended to do: inspire. You can check out both McKinnon’s and Pilton’s Soundcloud pages below.
