Freshman Anna Garcia will be transferring to an undetermined school for the 2015-16 season due to lack of playing time at Iowa State, she told the Daily. Iowa State and Espinosa confirmed Garcia’s decision to transfer.

Garcia had a back injury during the fall season, which resulted in a redshirt option throughout the spring season.

The redshirt allows her to have four full years of eligibility at her new school and coach Armando Espinosa said he wishes her the best at her new destination.
