Government of the Student Body presidential and vice-presidential candidates will announce their intentions to run Feb. 9 as they begin campaigning.

The day candidates can finally begin campaigning is Feb. 9. 

Candidate statements of intent and candidate biographies are due by 7 p.m. Feb. 9. Email statements and biographies can be sent to Election Commissioner Alex Rodgers at [email protected] or submitted in the GSB election box in the West Student Office Space of the Memorial Union.

“If a candidate does not turn those in, then they will not be placed on the ballot,” Rodgers said. “However, I would encourage them to run as a write-in candidate.”

A meet and greet will be held at 7 p.m. Feb. 10 in the main lounge at Buchanan Hall, so students can meet all GSB candidates and ask them about their campaigns.
