Gritty Power Rangers film “deboot” is everything you’ve ever wanted

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Renae Meines

Have you ever dreamed of an extremely high quality, cinematic and NSFW version of your beloved childhood action team?

Well, director Joseph Kahn — the guy who directed T-Swift’s “Blank Space” video! — has brought severely disturbed adult Power Rangers to the digital world and has melted a few faces off in the process.

Traitorous former teammates, lines of coke, homages to classic fight scenes, badass special effects, lethal weapons, gratuitous swearing, and much more are featured to bring your childhood full circle.

In this world, the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are disbanded, and the Red Ranger Rocky has turned his back on Zordon and the rest of the gang. Rocky has teamed up with a new evil company and is on a mission to kill Tommy, who he believes has executed the other Rangers. He interrogates Kimberly the Pink Ranger, who is the only one left and who he believes knows where Tommy is.

The ending is complete with a dramatic twist and remastered Power Rangers theme song, but I’ll leave that for you to discover. Watch the full 14-minute movie at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vw5vcUPyL90

And PLEASE make our dreams come true and turn this into a feature-length film!
