2015 is ushering in a new wave of shows to replace those that ended after a long run, like How I Met Your Mother, or that failed, like Gracepoint. Surprisingly, however, USA is cancelling Covert Affairs, so any questions you had about Annie’s future will never be answered. That aside, here are some shows you should be watching as 2015 begins:

NCIS- It is one of TV’s most successful shows over the last decade and is continually one of the most watched programs in the U.S. The show follows a team of special agents who investigate crimes involving the military. Each episode is exciting and intriguing as the team uses their experience, intelligence, and the simple rules of their leader, Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to solve crimes against the military. More than anything, fans of the show connect with the characters and the struggles they go through while working their case that often have more to do with everyday life than the crime they are trying to solve, such as the death of a family member.

If you do not want to jump in midseason or even begin watching the series in season twelve, go back and watch from the beginning. You will be hooked on watching Gibbs’ team solve crimes and grow to care about each member of the team. CBS also runs two spin-offs which also carry a similar charisma: NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans.

Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS; LA is Mondays at 10/9c; NO is Tuesdays at 9/8c

Eye Candy- This show is set to air on MTV, yet it is a different direction than MTV would normally take. It is a crime thriller, not something usually associated with MTV, and it stars former Nickelodeon teen Victoria Justice, who is also not usually associated with crime or thrillers. I am not sure what I am expecting of this show. Maybe it is a hit like Teen Wolf, or maybe it will be a bust. Either way, MTV usually does not keep my interest.

Mondays at 10/9c on MTV

Treehouse Masters- If you are ever feeling nostalgic or just want to see some exceptional craftsmanship, Treehouse Masters is the way to go. The show follows Pete Nelson and his treehouse building business, yes treehouse building business. The man actually makes a living off of designing and building treehouses. That has to be the greatest job on the planet, and we get to look in on it. He and his crew build functional and stable getaway homes in the trees for people looking for a place that brings them back to the days when they had a tree fort in the backyard. Most of the builds are for wealthy customers including high profile celebrities like Cee Lo Green and Florida Georgia Line. I know I wish I could live in a luxury treehouse.

Fridays at 10/9c on Animal Planet
