Repurposing and reusing

CD holder
You know the little, black, circular storage container that a fresh stack of CDs comes in? Well once the CDs are pulled out, you can use the empty holder to store…wait for it…your bagel. That’s right, your bagel. The circular container is perfectly bagel-shaped and even has the middle peg thing (that usually holds the CDs in place) to put through the center of your bagel. This is a bit out there – and don’t go around not expecting some funny looks – but it’s resourceful and actually kind of smart.
Cork/bulletin board
If you have an old bulletin board, you can use it to organize your jewelry. The pushpins are easily removed and reattached wherever you’d want to place them on the board, and the corkboard itself is easy to move and place wherever you feel. This wall hanging saves room in your place where a tall jewelry armoire or box would go.
6-Pack drink holder
Whether you’re camping, having a picnic, holding a get-together, or just want to stay organized at home, using a cardboard (or plastic) drink holder is a good option. The six individual slots can hold whatever compact things you’d like, such as utensils, salt and pepper, ketchup and mustard, napkins, etc. It doesn’t end at meals, either. You can use the same drink holder to organize other things, like kid’s craft materials, your own office things, stuff in your bathroom, etc.
Tennis rackets
All you have to do is take out the crosswire thingeys and insert a circular mirror into the void. BAM. Instant, useful wall art. These tennis racket mirrors look great in a common area, or as a bathroom decoration (and where you could always use a couple more mirrors for different angle views of your do.)
Paper towel holder
As a present-wrapping time draws nearer, it’s an idea to use an old paper towel holder to organize our ribbon. Most gift-wrappers know the horrors of ribbon getting tangled and messy, so this is a great way to keep everything need and situated in a useful way. Once done, you can always put your paper towel holder back in its original place, making this extra handy.
Hanging shoe rack
If you have a lot of snacks in the pantry, a fun idea to stay organized is to use a plastic hanging shoe rack on the back of the door. There are numerous slots (designed for shoes) that can hold any number of packaged snacks like granola bars, snack cakes, candy, etc.
Tension rod
This isn’t really a repurposing tip, but it’s a tip nonetheless. Go buy a smaller tension rod and expand it to the length of the cabinet underneath your kitchen sink. It’s a great way to store those pesky, space-taking spray bottles.
