“Better Call Saul” will be premier on AMC on Feb. 8. “Better Call Saul” is a spinoff of the AMC hit series “Breaking Bad.”

This new series will focus on the character Saul Goodman, who is played by Bob Odenkirk, and is a character from “Breaking Bad.” The show will give the history of the widely utilized attourney who gets mixed up in the lifestyles of “Breaking Bad” characters Walter White and Jesse Pinkman.

“Breaking Bad” creator Vince Gilligan is back again and is giving “Breaking Bad” fans something to look forward to.

Even though the character Saul Goodman was highly touted and this show is receiving lots of hype, the pressure is still on for the new show. USA Today reported that some characters from “Breaking Bad” will make appearances but they are not the biggest part of the show. “Better Call Saul” will have a completely new storyline and should not be considered a continued season of “Breaking Bad.”

However, even though “Breaking Bad” lasted five seasons and set new records for ratings, it still did not have a very strong start when it first began running. But as AMC kept renewing the show for more and more seasons, the love and excitement began to increase. The same could definitely happen with “Better Call Saul.”

USA Today reported that the premiere of “Better Call Saul” is occurring approximately six years before the story of “Breaking Bad” took place.

“Breaking Bad” fans will be happy to know that Mike, played by Jonathan Banks, will be a main character in “Better Call Saul.” Mike was best known as being an assistant of Saul’s and was a very important character in the later seasons of “Breaking Bad.”

With some familiar faces and from the same creators, “Better Call Saul” has all the assets necessary to be successful.

With a second season already being discussed, “Better Call Saul” will premiere on Feb. 8 on AMC and will consist of 10 episodes.
