The ISU athletics department announced redshirt sophomore men’s basketball guard Sherron Dorsey-Walker is transferring from the program.

“I have enjoyed being a member of the Iowa State basketball program the last two and a half seasons,” Dorsey-Walker said. “I would like to thank my coaches, teammates and the great Iowa State fans for their support during my time at the school.”

Dorsey-Walker averaged 13 minutes in three games this season and has seen action in 23 career games. He recorded a career-high 17 points and five rebounds against UMKC last season.

He redshirted his first season as a Cyclone and has spent two and a half years with the program.

“Sherron informed me that he has decided to transfer to a new school,” Hoiberg said. “He has been a great teammate and student-athlete. I’ve enjoyed coaching him and will assist him in any way I can as he looks for a new school. We wish Sherron the best in the future.”
