ISU wrestling sends four to semifinals, in 2nd place after day one at Cliff Keen Invitational

Members of the Cyclone wrestling team decided they would rather hit the semifinal rounds of the Cliff Keen Invitational tomorrow then the Vegas strip. 

Day one of the Cliff Keen invitational in Las Vegas saw four Cyclones advance to semifinal action, which is slated to get underway tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. central time. 

Gabe Moreno, Michael Moreno, Tanner Weatherman and Kyven Gadson all punched their tickets to the semifinal round by going undefeated on the day. 

Five Cyclones advanced to the quarterfinal stage, with all but Earl Hall advancing to the semifinals.

As a team, the Cyclones are sitting in second place after the first day of action. 

Quean Smith recorded an 11 second pin against his first round opponent. The pin was the second fastest of his career.

Action from the Cliff Keen Invitational will resume tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. central time.
