Bryce Dejean-Jones explodes in ISU win over first ranked opponent
December 4, 2014
Senior transfer Bryce Dejean-Jones was perfect-almost.
The 6’6″ guard was scored as shooting 8-of-8 from the field, but actually miscued on his last effort of the night, an attempted put-back slam in the waning minutes of a 95-77 blowout win for No. 20 Iowa State against No. 18 Arkansas.
Dejean-Jones finished the night with 27 points to lead the Cyclones in scoring and also contributed six rebounds and two assists to the ISU cause.
Sophomore guard Monte Morris had perhaps his worst game of the year as he was smothered all night by a ferocious Razorback press that extended the length of the court.
Bad is a relative term, however, as Morris’s rough outing equaled out to all of two turnovers, juxtaposing four assists.
Senior Georges Niang continued to lead the team as he stuffed the stat sheet with 26 points, six rebounds and eight assists on his way to another stellar night.
