The Lowdown

The ISU volleyball team fell to RPI No. 4 Texas on Nov. 2 at Hilton Coliseum in four sets: 25-21, 20-25, 25-13, 25-14.

After falling in a close first set, the Cyclones (11-9, 3-6 Big 12) were able to fight back and claim a set from the Longhorns (16-1, 8-1 Big 12) and tie the match at one set apiece heading into the break.

The second frame would prove to be all the Cyclones had in them, as the Longhorns went on to capture the final two sets with relative ease to remain in sole possession of first place in the Big 12 standings.

X-Factors

Haley Eckerman and Amy Neal: The UT outside hitters combined for 28 of the Longhorns’ 54 kills and combined to hit .304 on the match.

By the Numbers

16: Blocks by the Longhorns, who allowed the Cyclones to hit just .127 on the match.

31 & 13: The number of assists and digs, respectively, for ISU setter Suzanne Horner, who registered her eighth double-double of the season.
