GALLERY: Election Day on campus

Morning voting was slow at 4-2 precinct voting center in Maple Hall. The center had 35 votes prior to noon. Austin Miller, freshman in mechanical engineering, didn’t have to wait in line to cast his ballot at 2:30 p.m. The center had 89 votes at that time.

Students voted on campus at Maple Hall and Union Drive Community Center on Nov. 4, for the midterm elections. Later in the evening, ISU College Democrats gathered in the Margaret Sloss House and ISU College Republicans gathered at Wallaby’s to watch news stations as the poll results came in. 

Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Bruce Braley visited campus for an Election Day voter’s rally on Nov. 4 and Republican candidate for U.S. Senate visited Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity for a rally on Nov. 3.
