Cyclone Hockey lost 3-2 against the Minot State Beavers on Nov. 8 in Minot, N.D, giving the Beavers the sweep.

Minot State controlled the puck much of the period but couldn’t capitalize with a goal. Cyclone goalie Scott Ismond had 12 saves and helped Cyclone Hockey draw even at the end of the first period with the score tied at zero.

The Minot State Beavers had a big second period. The Beavers scored a goal to take the lead and with the momentum on their side, scored another goal within a minute to give them a comfortable 2-0 lead heading into the final period.

Cyclone Hockey had a big period of its own by scoring two goals in the third, but it still was not enough to defeat Minot State.

The Cyclones fell 3-2 and failed to win a game in the series.

Cyclone Hockey will still have a chance to get a win this weekend against Dakota College-Bottineau Nov. 9 in Bottineau, N.D.
